In my case Im pretty sure you cannot make a piece of clothing in DT because textiles exists and that's where you're supposed to do more fashion and things.
However I am on a strange exam board and that might change from school to school or from class to class. The best thing would be to just message one of your teachers and ask them.
Sorry for not being able to help more! <3

Hiya Lara!!

Your combination of Psychology, Sociology, and Design & Technology sounds really interesting and quite unique. A lot of people who study Psychology at uni come from various backgrounds, so your mix could actually give you a creative edge, especially if you’re interested in areas like cognitive psychology or even human factors.

If you’re thinking about Psychology at uni, there are loads of course option, from general Psychology degrees to more specialised ones like Forensic Psychology, Educational Psychology, or even combining Psychology with Criminology or Health Sciences.

Liverpool John Moores is one uni that offers a solid Psychology course with good support and options to explore related fields. The School has a broad and varied range of taught programmes across psychology.

Plus psychology students and research staff take advantage of:

Psychophysiology Lab: eye tracking and facial recognition software, game consoles, fNIR system (which monitors changes in cortical oxygenation and deoxygenation in the brain), GSR transducer sets, electro-oculogram amplifier (to record eye movements), evoked response equipment

Sensory and Affective Neuroscience Lab: Medoc Pathway Thermal Sensory Analyser used in pain studies, a Robotic Tactile Stimulator for research into affective touch, an olfactometer for smell research, microneurography capabilities used to record and microstimulate single sensory nerves innervating the skin

Driving simulator: driver console with steering wheel, brake, clutch and accelerator pedals, and a tester console with programming monitor

Appetite Research Lab: fully equipped food preparation kitchen and testing area

Human Performance Testing Lab: a dedicated general purpose laboratory for physiological measurements with associated software (EMG, EEG, ECG, GSR, blood flow, air flow, breathing rate, Chart 4.0 Analysis)

Good luck with your choices, sounds like you’re on a really exciting path! If you want any tips about uni applications or courses, just ask.
