Can I Study Architecture with a BTEC in Applied Sciences?

Hi everyone! I'm currently studying BTEC Applied Sciences. I'm really interested in pursuing architecture, specifically urban planning, landscape architecture, or interior design.

I'm considering universities in Manchester or Birmingham but am open to other options near Cheshire. Does anyone know if my current qualifications would be accepted for these courses? Any recommendations on specific universities or programs that might suit my interests? Undergraduate as well please🙏🏽

Thanks so much for your help!

Do you take a creative subject too? The reason I ask is that although the majority of architecture courses don't require specific subjects, most require a portfolio of creative work as part of the application process.

You need to check the Entry Requirements section on the course pages of the unis you are interested in. The following thread gives the A level entry requirements for architecture:

I do not currently take a creative subject but I did in GCSE, would that still count?

What counts is you being able to produce a portfolio to the expected standard. Architecture is a design-based degree (around 50% of the course modules are design) so you need to be confident in your artistic ability to apply and be successful on the course.
