Hi ,
I'm a graduate who's just gotten my UCAT results back and I'm a bit stuck on weather to apply.

I got a UCAT score of 1960 with a Band 2 in the Situational Judgement Test. I've also graduated with a 1st class degree (biomedical science). My main problem is my A-levels; they're not great (like therye really bad and below the requirements)

I'm hoping to get some advice on weather to still apply and my prospects of actually getting a place. Thanks

Has anyone been invited for an interview yet?

Nope

Don't think we will hear back until mid December. I applied last year and that is when I heard back from them

Sorry, only just saw this but there are no a level requirements I believe. It is just GCSE and your degree that they want so you shouldn't need to worry about your a level grades. Also, I believe they will invite everyone that meets the grade and sjt band requirements to interviews. It is only after interviews that they use ucat to determine offers combined with interview score. You do have a chance of getting in but I can't say how big your chances are because of the change in ucat this year. Hope this helps!

I think that’s when it will be, as they have to get through all of undergrad first, and then shortlist after gamsat which are only just coming out for September takers. Are you looking for 2026 entry too? Hoping we hear back soon  best of luck to you

Uea have confirmed on live chat that interview invites will be sent out from December, through till January, so we have some time yet! And the actual interviews will take place in February and march. I appreciate the time to prepare, but the wait is hard.

Really? How can they interview everyone? Surely everyone that applies for grad entry meets the academic requirements so they’ll be interviewing everyone. To be fair I’m happy with this as my score isn't the best so I would like to be judged on how I interview

They don't interview everyone.
This is a cut and paste from their selection process section of their website

The overall UCAT score is used to rank applicants for selection for interview.

The overall UCAT score is assessed alongside the interview score to rank and select applicants to whom an offer is made.

We do not accept applicants with a SJT component score Band 4.

So your chances of interview will depend on the cohort's UCAT range, and your rank within that cohort. So it's not over yet, as we don't know people's UCAT scores!
Good luck

Last year they interviewed 200 people for 30 places, 15 of which were from the local area.

Reply 12

So if you're not from the local area you are battling it out for 15 places.

Wow. I really want to know what the lowest Ucat score that was interviewed.

I know someone last year who got 1960 that got an interview
