Speech and Language Therapy - Huddersfield /Leeds Beckett

Hi! I am hoping to start on a speech and language therapy course at either Huddersfield or Leeds Beckett in Sept 2026.
Firstly, I'd love to know if there's anybody already on this course at these Universities that can tell me how they're finding it so far!
Or is there anyone looking to apply?
I have been debating between speech and language or primary education and have settled on completing a registered speech and language therapy degree followed by a PGCE.
Anyone else done this?
Thanks!
Oh- I'm also an adult learner with young kids, going back into education (not that it makes any difference to the question but any info around how many days a week/hours the course is would be great!)

Hi, if you’re doing SLT, why’re you then wanting to complete a PGCE? If the end goal is teaching, then just complete the primary course with QTS. It would save you a lot of money and time.

This doesn't make sense - do you want to be a teacher or an SLT?
