GCSE grades for UCL

Hi all,

Just wanted to ask, if I meet the A-level entry requirements for an undergrad course at UCL, and have a good personal statement, but only meet the maths GCSE requirements, and not the English GCSE requirements, will UCL automatically reject me?

My GCSE grades didn't meet my predicted grades due to mitigating circumstances, but I'm not sure if UCL would consider this, or if they would just reject me as soon as they see I don't meet the English GCSE requirements.

Thanks, have a good weekend

Sara
Ordinarily yes you would be automatically rejected.

If you don't meet the English language GCSE requirement I would recommend planning to retake that single GCSE.

Okay, thank you for being straight up, I appreciate this. Perhaps I'll look into retaking this. Have a good evening!!
