Any student accommodation available for January intake 2026 in Canterbury?

Dear all,

I have just received unconditional offer from University of Kent for postgraduate study. The course will start in January next year.
At first, I planned to apply for September intake right after my graduation at UOB, however, I could not be able to do so.
Due to personal reasons, I have to go back to my country for few months. Hence, I applied for January intake instead.

September intake is always popular choice for most students.
Therefore, lots of student accommodations will be full and it seems to me that many good options might not available for January intake.

Anyone studying/studied in Canterbury?
Anyone also experienced with difficulty in finding accommodation for January intake ?

I have been searching accommodation in Canterbury and most of the studio option with en-suite kitchen and bathroom are already sold out.

Compared to other big cities like London, Birmingham or Manchester, the availability of good quality student accommodation in Canterbury are more limited. An accommodation similar to Currus Court is something I am interested in staying. The chance of getting a place in January seems slim though,

Is it perhaps only chance that someone needs to move out early during their tenancy?
