Math a level resit

I did my math a level in year 12 and I got an A (3 marks of an A* 💔) but with a different college and exam board - as in redoing it this year with my current school and a different exam board- will it count as a resit and if it does will it affect my medical applications? p.s I’m in year 13 now. I highly appreciate any help in advance

Presumably you think an A* prediction to give you an advantage over someone else with a A grade - otherwise, why are you resitting it. Therefore it feels like you are asking 'I want any possible advantage a higher grade will give me, but I don't want any Universities to actually notice this'.

Yes it's a resit as you'll have to put this grade on your UCAS application.

No, because I want to guarantee I can get an A* in a subject incase I can’t get an A* in biology or chemistry - and one of my options Birmingham requires A*AA side note I’m not saying I’m 100% getting A* in math but it’s my best chance
