Imagine someone wrote “does anyone know which oxford college tend to have the higher proportion of wealthy/private school students”. That would be criticised.

To your question though, you should look at Wadham, Mansfield and Oriel.

It is snobbery.

its not though is it x if you're asking as a working class student, its because private school students tend to be stuck up and rude to people they don't see as "on their level." if you're asking as a private school student, its because you are being stuck up and rude to others.

All this is available online. Look at Table 4.3 in this year’s admissions release. The top 3 are Mansfield, Worcester, Brasenose. Oriel are in the bottom 3.

This is unfair and it generalises unnecessarily. It would be unacceptable to make such derogatory comments toward working class students.

Why are potential Oxford students still asking this type of question? You should know the answer by now…
For clarity - the majority of Oxford students are state school educated. Also, it is irrelevant which college has the majority as a pooling system is used to try and ensure that they capture the best students regardless of which college someone has applied to.
On the other point raised I am state school educated, I do not feel that all private school kids are snobs. No one could ever make me feel inferior, I couldn’t care a jot how much money someone’s parents have. If you do then look inward.
