Just sat ucat next steps Scottish med entry

Just sat my ucat this morning and it went pretty mid and ended up scoring 1940 band 2right on the 5th preliminary deciles, I don’t know if this paired with all As in N5 and Highers is good enough to get me interviews at any Scottish med schools or is even competitive enough. I’m abt to start personal statement work and dk if I should begin preparation for interviews, (I really want to be more prepared as I basically crammed the ucat and know I coudve done better). I want to be realistic as to whether I have a chance or not because of my average 5th decile score (which may even turn out to be worse as these are only preliminary deciles :frown:

). )

Buddy trust me your results are amazing and if you have a strong personal statement with good experience you’re good don’t let your UCAT score bring you down but also what uni u applying?

Thank you bro, I literally just filled in my choices like rn applying to st andrews,Dundee Edinburgh and Aberdeen standard entry and Glasgow gateway to medicine 5th backup choice, ngl Ive wrote my p.s. as if it was an English essay so i may be cooked ,but other than that I can only hope for the best. Btw are you applying for any Scottish unis 26 entry too?

Those r good and since we r Scottish applicants im sure we’ll be fine and if ur rlly passionate hopefully they will see u for that i jus completed my ps too and I’ve tried my best and done what I could but tbh i feel u bc of this new format its no even like u have much examples to look at but im applying to Glasgow, cali, and maybe Strathclyde ion know man hoping to apply for dent but its looking rough all we can do now is study hard and pray tbh
