Hi Kejsjsjejkek,

Sorry this reply is so late your message must have slipped past me somehow!

I just wanted to clear up the misunderstanding about Bangor “favouring Welsh students.” That isn’t the case. Every applicant is assessed on their own merits, no matter where they’re from. The only difference is that Welsh speakers can be offered a contextual offer, which is just a way of recognising language ability - not an advantage over other applicants.

Hope that helps clear things up, but feel free to ask if you’ve got any other questions!

Thanks
Ffi 🙂

Just got my offer today, I’m a little confused on where the interview will actually be held, is it this: Reichel Hall, Ffriddoedd Site, Bangor LL57 2TW on google maps

If you’ve booked an interview slot, is it still possible to switch it for an alternative date or no?

And if so who do I contact?

Hi Saiuhcasd and Jen.18, I'll contact someone to get these answers for you today. Thanks!

HI Saiuhcasd,

Yes, the interviews are being held at Reichel Hall. Reichel is based on the Ffriddoedd Site, the student village.
That post code will take you to the main entrance of Ffriddoedd.

There are several entrances to Ffriddoedd Site, but there is one that will take you directly outside of Reichel. You will see which one it is on Google Maps if you zoom in on the whole site. I've tried to provide a screen shot here, but I'm not sure if it will be large enough to be visible. I've marked the main entrance in Red, and the entrance for Reichel in blue.

If you get lost there are three main places to get directions once you are on site, the halls office is on the right as soon as you enter the Village, the security lodge is right in the centre of the village opposite the laundrette and there is a gym on site called Canolfan Brailsford, but it's a huge building so you should be able to find it easily.

Give yourself plenty of time to find the place and relax before your interview!

Hi Jen.18,

You are able to change your interview slot, but please be aware that most of the slots have been filled with only some 8.45 am slots available now.

Please do check the available slots before you cancel yours.

You can change the slots on the Form that was in your initial e-mail to book a slot as well as the confirmation e-mail you received. If this advice is not sufficient, I would recommend e-mailing [email protected].

Thanks, Ffi 🙂
