Anybody doing Global humanitarian studies at UCL?

I’m currently in year 13 maybe applying to UCL for GHS but I know that the entry requirement are quite low and the course is fairly new so I’m not sure how the teaching will be, and also what are some jobs that people can get into with this course, is it more narrow than people who do politics/IR? thanks x
Probably the same range of jobs as just about any graduate of UCL could go into. May be particularly relevant for some NGOs/charities and similar, although by no means limited to that. There's nothing stopping you from working at Goldman Sachs afterwards other than the poetic injustice of it all

So would you say that this course is good? I’m trying to find more information and what people think of the course but it’s just so difficult!

Do you actually have any interest in the subject matter

You seem more focused on outcomes and it sounds like you're looking at the course purely as a means to an end without considering the course content or the actual material you'd be learning as the end unto itself...?

Of course I am interested however I’m also interested in other aspects of the course and what people think about it too. It’s like with any other course.

Again, I’m just trying to make sure that I make the correct choice for university and this course doesn’t really have much info which is why I’m trying to ask others as to what they think of it and the course as a whole.

They have quite a lot of information on the department website: https://www.ucl.ac.uk/mathematical-physical-sciences/risk-disaster-reduction/study/global-humanitarian-studies-bsc

As well as an overview and module descriptions for all the modules available presently, they have videos for many of the modules to preview the content it seems. It also introduces the key staff members in the department, various questions specific to the department and course, and information about some things past students have done.

They even have a dedicated page about the personal statement for UCAS.

As for whether it's "good" that's entirely dependent on how well the course lines up to your interests. As stated before, for employability it's as good or bad as any other degree at UCL (or for many graduate roles, elsewhere too).
