Help

So I got a grade 5 in maths which is underwhelming but I need help on all the gcse topics I need to learn and master for a level maths as I'm planning to resit in the summer and take a level maths
if someone could make a list on all the gcse topics that I need to know for a level maths which helps prepare me then I'll be very thankful

Here's the Summer Work my school provides for bridging between GCSE and A-Level:

Fractions - Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division

Indice Rules - All previous GCSE indice rules, and the understanding that a fractional power means a root, and a negative power is a fraction

Evaluating Indices - E.g. taking x^5/2 and turning it into x = 4 * sqrt(2)

Sliding and "The V" - These are techniques unique to my school, and are quite useful. Try this video if you're unsure.

Surds - Dealing with surds, simplifying them. Especially without a calculator

Rationalising the Denominator, in regards to surds. If you're unsure, you can find resources on this.

Rearranging Algebra - Expanding brackets, making specific variables the "subject" of the formula, etc

Factorising Quadratics - You should be able to factorise quadratics without a calculator (Unless they're REALLY freaky)

Completing the Square; Also very useful! You'll need this to find the turning point of stuff. It's also just generally useful; Did you know, if you rearrange the completed square form to make x the subject, you get the quadratic formula? Crazy!

Linear Simultaneous Equations - You can deal with non-linear if you WANT, but you only need to know Linear for the start of the course.

I hope this is useful! Good luck!

so if I just do these topics I'm good before a level maths?

Does Rob Knox need help?

I think if you do these, you'll be ready for it. At least, this is what most schools would expect you to be at, before doing A-Level maths.
