Weird to add people from snapchat community?

My college / sixth form has a snap community and over 100 people are in my year. I'm really struggling irl how to make friends, my class are extremely mute, I moved to the other half of the country last month leaving all my friends AND i enrolled late at college. I feel like snap is my last option, I'm really struggling right now. My college has clubs but they're not going to be setup until a few weeks.

Not weird at all. Loads of people start friendships through Snap or WhatsApp groups at college. Just add a few and see who vibes with you. Clubs will also help once they start up.
