do oxford colleges impact the likelihood of getting in?

I know that Oxford insists it doesn't change anything because of their reallocation before the interview, but i'm asking about after the interview. If I apply to a college with a smaller amount of spaces for my subject, and I get a good score that would've gotten me into another college, but others in the interview cohort has gotten much higher, does that mean I won't get into oxford at all? Or do they have some sort of post-interview reshuffling?

IF your score is high but not still accepted by the two colleges that interviewed you, you will be put in a pool and if other colleges sees you as a good fit, they will contact you.

You may be made an open offer under the pool system, meaning that you would be guaranteed a place on your chosen course at Oxford, but the College you would be studying at won't be decided until A' level results are released. About 5% of offer holders miss their grades, and colleges will fill spaces from the pool.

Quite a few subjects do post interview reallocation as well, so some candidates will have second or even third interviews at different colleges.
