18+ student Oyster
I study at a university outside of London. I am currently doing a placement in London and am living there for this year. Do I qualify for a student Oyster? I know mandatory placements qualify, but since I chose to change to a 4-year course that includes a placement sandwich year, I don't know if I do.

I don't know about Oyster in particular (sorry) but as you are studying you should be able to get one. Are you full or part time?

Hi,
I am currently on placement year and using my student oyster card. However I do attend a university in London.
This is what I found in the website
'Enrolled at a school, college or university registered on the TfL scheme or on a mandatory work placement in London'
'Full-time student registered and studying on a higher education course at a school, college or university not registered with the TfL scheme but on mandatory work placement in London for at least 14 weeks'
18+ Student Oyster photocard - Transport for London
I would say it would still apply as it is mandatory to do a placement to do a sandwich year.

Yeah placement years shouldn't affect anything
