Using Chem Olympiad/C3L6 to revise for ESAT

I've heard some people say that i should use the C3L6 and the the chem olympiad to prepare for esat chemistry but looking at it it doesn't seem like the esat style at all. I was just wondering if anyone knew how people tend to use these resources to prepare?

I think the assumption is that most people will find c3l6 and olympiad more challenging than the esat, so being able to confidently perform well on those should mean you're able to perform well on esat? That's my best guess. I agree though that the questions are notably different in style so imo its probably best to make c3l6/olympiad a smaller part of the prep process
