Private accommodation advice needed

Hi! I am looking at going to university in the upcoming years and I don’t know where to look for studio accommodations. I would struggle with a shared kitchen/bathroom and it would make my life more relaxing knowing I am in control of everything. I am looking at going to Bangor, if anyone could recommend reliable and affordable websites that provide studio accommodations. Any help will be greatly appreciated

Hi @sharky.boyyy. I can completely understand you wanting your own space, especially having your own space which can be more relaxing. I would say have a look at a few websites such as Zoopla, Rightmove, Facebook groups and Gumtree for any listings. There might be some hidden gems on these websites. You could even try Unipol Bangor, all universities have their own accommodation sites. I hope this helped and good luck! 😄

Thankyou so much for responding. I was more thinking the same as the usual student accommodation where bills and all are included but instead where there’s a kitchenette and en-suite. I don’t know if they exist but that would be preferable

Hi @sharky.boyyy ,

I think most universities, including Bangor, offer studio options, and I believe you should be able to explore more here! If you are looking more for private accommodation options outside of your university, I'm sure you can look up things like 'private studio room Bangor university' to help you find what you are looking for, but there should definitely be something out there for you! ☺️

I hope this all helps!

Hi sharky.boyyy,

Lots of our students prefer Studio appartments and our St Mary's Village has plenty of different Studio apartments to choose from. The great thing about choosing a studio with the university is that you can reap all the benefits of living in University halls such as, bills/utilities and wifi included in the rent, a gym membership and membership to Campus Life, a social programme bringing all halls residence together.

We recorded a video about halls last year and we actually go into a studio apartment in this video and talk to a student who chose to live in a studio. This might be helpful for you.

The specific clip about the Studio apartment is around 4 min 10, but the rest of the video gives you an idea of life at St Mary's.

Thanks
Ffi 🙂
