Can I apply for economics??

My a level predictions are A star A star A in maths , bio and chem respectively. I got 1600 B3 on my ucat ( pls don’t ask ) so I’m gonna apply for a course this year, resit the ucat next year before results day, and of I do good I will decline my offers and take a gap year. But I first need to get the offers. Am I eligible to apply for economics ? If so where? I am not doing the TMUA. My gcses are lowkey bad 888777777766 ( 6,6 in Eng lit and drama). Do I have a chance at Bristol econ, Durham? Where would I acc stand a chance?
BTW I’m not going to apply for economics for the sake of it, I acc have had it in my mind as a sec option after dent.

Bristol scores applications for Economics using these weightings - GCSE 20% | A-Level 80%. So you can see that your A level grades are far more significant than your GCSEs - stop worrying and apply.

No idea - you can try asking UCL but I doubt they'll tell you. The Bristol info is totally public - Admissions statements | Study at Bristol | University of Bristol - but UCL do not have the same reputation for transparency.

If I want to do economics 2026 entry, should I do the TMUA in January? Will I get my results before I apply to uni? How does that work?
Also I can’t do the TMUA in October.
ALSO will not doing econ or fm a level put me at a disadvantage!??? I do maths bio and chem and predicted A*, A*, A, my GCSEs are 888777777766 NON CONTEXTUAL.
So considering I get a good TMUA what are my chances at UCL econ???
This is for pure econ.

Do I have a chance at UCL, bath and Bristol econ? I don’t take FM or Econ a level. I do bio chem and maths predicted A* A A* respectively. My GCSEs are 888777777766 and I’m NON CONTEXTUAL.
What chance do I have?

I have merged your threads. You are looking at a competitive course at competitive unis. If you have checked the entry requirements and you meet them, then you have a chance. But no one can tell you how much of a chance. Just make sure you also apply to a safer choice for insurance.
