Sixth form???? AHH

Every time I think of the future, even just what subjects I'll choose I feel SO deflated and scared 😭. I'm completely lost with what sixth forms to apply for or to check out (because open days are currently happening)
I THINK I want to be an art teacher/therapist or a youth worker, and currently thinking of doing art, psychology and english.
I get 7/9's in english but my science is HORRENDOUS (4's, and mainly due to stress 💔) at the moment + I'm not really sure where I am with art because of how my school grades things. So I'm scared I won't get the grades I need to do what I want :<

I'm trying to get my grades up, but I'm wondering what sixth forms I should apply to which are realistic but also really good + have the a levels I want. (Also clos if possible, east London)
PLEASE HELPP AHH

Hihi! I'm currently in year 13 and I'm studying English lit, psychology and music (also currently thinking about therapy). Despite not being able to give you advice on choosing sixth forms, as I am from the northwest. But if it makes you feel better, my sciences were terrible at first, but doing lots of past papers (and analysing with the mark scheme) really does help (I managed to get 3 grades higher than my predicted at the end, and my chem teacher was shocked lol), and maybe asking for help from teachers, I'm sure they won't hesitate to help you with your studies!

I'd say if you really love art and are interested in doing psychology, then go for it!! English is always a good wildcard option to do too. If you haven't learned psychology in high school, I suggest looking at the exam boards of the sixth forms you're thinking of (e.g. AQA and OCR are common ones for psy) and see if you're interested in the subject.

Best of luck!! You've got this!! I hope this is helpful to you:biggrin:

Why do you think you will need high GCSE science grades to take A levels in Art, Psychology and English?

A lot of sixth forms require at least a six to do psychology (it's not a GCSE option for me)

And most don't.
Find another Sixth Form.

I'd rather get better grades and go to a better sixth form then get lower grades and so on? But thanks 😭
