Does my late join change how my gcses are viewed and are my gcses good enough?

Hi I would like to ask for some advice. I got 988877766 at gcses (7-6 combined science and 6 in history) but I plan yo resat combined science and will easily get 9-8 so I will have 998888776. I also joined late year 10 (a month before summer) into a private school and i had to pick new gcse options. This will be included in my application. My main question is will this affect how my gcses are viewed at certain universities?

I would love to go to cambridge, which I know is mostly interview, but I’m wondering if with my gcses this is a long shot or not and if my late join will change anything? (Also my school has been below average for the past 3 years in gcse performances as I read online but they havent released info for this year). I also am applying to UCL or Imperial which I know is all UCAT which I havent taken yet but I am already doing mocks and getting ≈2300 so Im aiming for ≈2400 and Im doing well with my A levels and I will get my 3A*s predicted.

Anyway taking this information into account, can anyone advise me which universities are good to apply to or can I stick to my current choices?
