do i have a chance at st andrews history?
they want an ib score of 38 with 666 at HL and i have a 41 with 765 HL. im an international. they accepted me last year with these grades (regrettably i turned them down) after my actual grades dropped from 776 44 predicted to 765 41. but that was after they gave me an offer after i applied with much higher grades. i dont know if theyll be more lenient when im applying with 765HL

Do you mean they made you an offer last year, or that they actually confirmed your place when you had these results. And are you now at another Uni or on a gap-year.

1) Why have you started a degree that you clearly don't want to do.
2) If you are already at Uni, St A will want a reference from your current Uni and may make any offer dependant on your 1st year grades.
3) You may find a great deal easier to either stay where you are and aim at St Andrews for postgrad, or dont bother with going to another Uni this year, take a gap-year and reapply to where you do actually want to go for 2026 entry..

yes im probably going to drop out before jan and apply for 2026 entry
