Hi!

I lived in Sherbourne in my first year and I’d say it depends more on the flat you get placed in than the accommodation itself. My flat was fairly quiet, especially since we were on one of the upper floors, and I’ve heard that tends to be the case for a lot of upper-floor flats. That being said, there are definitely also some very social flats hosting regular parties etc and Sherbourne doesn’t really have the same reputation for being a really quiet accom in the way that Bluebell does for instance. Sherbourne is also one of the bigger accommodations in terms of the number of flats, so it can vary quite a bit.

It’s a bit down to luck - I’m not sure if they do this anymore but when I was applying for accom, there was a form you could fill out with different preferences (quieter flat, single-gender etc) and I did specify wanting a slightly quieter flat which could have affected where I got placed.
