Core Maths is not needed for Medicine, but it is useful as skills support for all A level STEM subjects. Entry requirements for each UK Medical School via this link - check the GCSE Maths requirements as some may be higher than grade 6 but Core Maths would meet a higher requirement. Medical school does not require core maths. Prioritise biology and chemistry while aiming for high A-levels. For most medical schools, your GCSE 6 in maths is sufficient. Although it won't improve your application, Core Math could be useful for processing data.

hii it’s not rly helpful for medicine at all so if you have the choice i’d say just don’t do it, but if you have to then it’s fine. don’t worry about your maths grade because i did core maths and found it a lot easier than gcse maths actually, and i’m someone who typically hates doing maths and isn’t the greatest at it. you’ll most likely manage just fine and be able to get A/B
