Biomedical Science at UCL

Hey guys so I was originally planning to do medicine but I’ve decided biomedical science is the course I want to take instead.

Since I was so set on medicine, now I am not sure what universities I should apply to.
My stats are
A*AA predictions
998877765 at GCSE

I have lab work experience and medical work experience as well as a plethora of extra/super curriculars, would I be a good applicant for UCL? Or any other suggestions, thanks

Hi @zoyawsm

Great to hear you're thinking of studying Biomedical Science - it's a fantastic field and will certainly open some exciting career opportunities for you.

I wanted to let you know that our BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science degree here at Southampton Solent University is 1st in the UK for teaching in biomedical sciences studies, out of 87 institutions (NSS 2025), and 1st in the UK for student satisfaction in biomedical sciences studies, out of 81 institutions (CUG 2026). We're so proud of this degree, and the amazing impact our alumni are going on to achieve in the industry.

We'd love to tell you more about it at an upcoming open day, or feel free to ask us any questions on here
