Alevels Resits| Med&UCAT + Help/Rant

So I did my alevels this year and they went really badly -CDU it was unexpected and partly due to my chronic illness so im retaking this year because I don’t want to go into biomed. I still have to do my UCAT this week but honestly im scaredddd. I wasn’t even able to get a remark even though my psych and bio grades were realy different to what I’ve gotten so now im resitting all 3. I need any and all tips for ocr a bio and chem and also the ucat and any unis that would be good also i will be filling out extenuating circumstances forms because during y exams i would be in a lot of pain and Also the school were meant to apply for special consideration on my behalf but they ended up not doing that either because they didnt think the pain was that bad - i was in tears  PLEASE WRITE ANYTHING U THINK WILL HELPPPP THANK YOUU

Hi there!

I'm sorry to hear you've had such a difficult time, hopefully the resits will go better for you. For my A Levels I also did OCR biology and chemistry. The way I personally revised for these was using flashcards on Quizlet and doing loads of past exam questions as there is a lot of application of knowledge in the exams which is good to practice. If there was a topic I was struggling more with I would watch youtube videos on the topic or ask a friend to help explain it to me.

In terms of the dreaded UCAT, I got MedEntry to help me revise and just did loadsss of practice questions. I did them untimed at first to just get used to the type of questions and then I moved onto the timed pratice. Again you could watch some youtube videos on the specific sections if you're struggling with one in particular.

I hope that helps and if you have any other questions about A Levels or university please let me know!
