Do Universities consider AS Grades

I got ABE in History Economics and Maths (I’ve got mitigating circumstances) but my predictions are A*A*B. I want to apply to Oxford Foundation Year for Law, UCL, Warwick and possibly Bristol (I also get contextual for most of these) but I wanted to know if universities take it into account? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there! (:

Your best contacting each university individually to ask, entry requirements will be different from one place to another - on their websites they'll be an admissions email you can contact, when contacting if you let them know any grades/qualification you already have, any preditced grades your working towards & also any circumstances they will be able to best advise on the options they have availble, any type of minimum requirements you might be eligble or any other options onto the course!😊

I know for some places theres the option of college courses, where upon completion your able to transafer onto a foundation, 1st or even 2nd year of a course! (dependent on the type of college course/level) - I would maybe ask if any of these are also an option which could be accepted (:

wishing u the best of luck with any current exams/uni applications!! <33

Most Unis now ignore AS levels - because not everyone takes them.
Just make sure that your UCAS reference includes information about the MCs. Its also worth completing any relevant form for each individual University - example from Bristol Extenuating circumstances | Study at Bristol | University of Bristol - as some Unis no longer read PS.

Hi there,

most uni's will focus on your A-Level grades. However, if you go through clearing, some advisors will note your AS level grades as they are worth UCAS points and should you reach the subject and points requirement, you may receive an offer. Also, when going through clearing, we often hear lots of stories of people that did not make the grades due to personal circumstances. We don't care, the requirements we are given, even for clearing are black and white - no grey area.

I would reach out to the uni's are you interested in for clarification.

Kind regards, Jenifer (Kingston rep)
