Chances of getting an interview for dentistry 2026?

Hi I’m a gap year student and I’m currently re-applying to dentistry. I was just wondering where it would be worth applying to as I’ve achieved a low-mid ucat score of 2010 B1 (equal to 2710/3600).This currently places me in the 6th decile according to preliminary deciles. I’ve already achieved the minimum A level entry requirements for most unis and have strong GCSEs. Do I have a chance of getting an interview? (I’m also not Scottish or Welsh so I wouldn’t be prioritised by Scottish/Welsh unis and I may be a contextual applicant for some unis but definitely not for all).

Manchester University. With that score and B1 u’ll be well safe applying there, their threshold is low I think to about 1900 and with B1 dats good it will put u in a nice position. But u can check other unis as well cuz some unis don’t rlly care much abt Ucat anywys. Check Manchester’s thresholds once again as well just to be sure. Hope this helps.
Btw m thinking of taking a gap year as well, do u have any tips on what I can do to make it useful and make my application stronger next year?🤍

Defo Cardiff and Leeds if you have strong GCSEs. Also you get extra points for your achieved A-level at Cardiff.
