A level options

I'm a yr 12 student and I've chosen economics psychology and media and I don't know what career I'm going to delve into with those options.my economic teacher is terrible and I've seen other drop the course a week in . Tomorrow is my final day day to drop it probably for politics ,should I do it?
I don't even know if it's worth dropping.

Politics may be a better option if economics isn't making you happy and the instruction isn't helping, especially since psychology and the media go hand in hand with it. The decision won't make or break your career path because both subjects provide a lot of opportunities. Just as important as the topic matter is the teacher or class you will really learn from, so consider which one piques your curiosity the most.

Also be aware that Economics without Maths is limiting in terms of degree choices - not impossible, but more restricted course options. But - you do need to look at the topics being taught within the Politics course, do these actually interest you?

Hey @lovergirl101!

It's not uncommon for students to struggle with A-Level Economics in the first few weeks, especially if they didn't sit the subject at GCSE. There's a lot of new content and concepts which can take awhile to wrap your head around. Nonetheless, if you're not enjoying A-Level Economics, it may make sense to drop it for Politics if it interests you more - after all, there's no point studying a subject which you don't find interesting or engaging.

Best of luck,
Eve (Kingston Rep).
