Lnat 2025

just did my exam today and honestly, i have no idea how to feel 🥀 i rushed through section A but section B was alright. the problem with section B was that i didn’t finish my conclusion and didn’t really go over it because i ran out of time. i feel like i flopped so badly but at the same time, it felt mid— if ygm??

i get extra time and a separate room which needed to be a quiet space but there was so much buzzing going on behind the walls that i just started tweaking and got more anxious. started overthinking every question. is there any hope left?💀 (i want to apply for top unis that require this)

Hi, I’m sure you did better than what you think. Try and be hopeful and everything is going to be fine. I’m sure admission officers understand the time limit in the test so you’re gonna be fine with the conclusion. Was the test harder than practice papers? Were the essay questions like difficult and specific ? Wish you the best, there definitely still hope. Thx

Hi,
Most universities don’t consider part B which is the essay section, but always make sure to check with each individual uni that you applied to that required the LNAT. Most of all this is a really hard exam, there’s no exact way to feel about it cuz it’s very fast paced as well, I did mine last year and even with so much prep I still didn’t get the score that I desired despite thinking I did okay, this may be different for you, you might actually have done well and are just underestimating yourself. At the end of the day the score that you get you get, and always look out for other unis that don’t require the LNAT as a backup, there’s many Russel groups out there that don’t require it. I applied to KCL and ended up getting rejected due to the LNAT despite my predicted grades being good, while QMUL didn’t need it. Hoped this helped.

I'm sure it went better than you think, try not to worry. Were the passages digestible and were they a similar level of difficulty to the official past papers?

hopefully they’ll understand my situation ☹️

imo, the test was easier than the practice paper in terms of the passage. it was much easier to read and understand than whatever yap was given in the practice papers. but the questions were defo worded in a way that could trip you up so i would watch out for that…

for section b, the essay questions were acc quite decent! they were worded in a specific way but the stuff you could talk about for it are very broad so i wouldn’t worry TOO much about that. good luck if you’re doing it soon! 🫶🏼

this helped loads! i think i’ve already just accepted my fate lol. there’s still loads of good unis that don’t require the LNAT so that has reassured me

the passages were much more digestible than the practice papers in a sense that it was easier to understand but most of the paragraphs came in big chunks so i had to try and keep track of the lines. they were of a similar level of difficulty, for sure, but only for the questions since it’s worded in such a way that it could trip you out. however, in terms of the reading, it was much easier to understand!

Heyy! Out of curiosity and u don’t have to answer this if u don’t want to, but what were u averaging in practice tests and what did u get in the actual test? Were u kind of expecting the score you got?

I ask this because when it comes to LNAT I always feel as though I can’t accurately predict how I did. So I’m kind of worried that will be the same case in the exam…

Keep positive! I heard unis way Section A and B differently so don't be disheartened. At least it's done now!

Hi,
Yes at the end of the day what is meant to be will be, what matters the most is that you tried your best and don’t let a test discourage you, the LNAT is one of the hardest exams you will sit amongst your A levels, and always make sure to do your own research and always make multiple plans in case if one thing doesn’t work out.

Hi,
In practice tests I was averaging around 22-25 which was the average for most years for the LNAT test, in the actual exam I did end up getting way lower. I was in the same position as you, the LNAT is hard to predict there isn’t a good way to tell if you did well or not like for other exams. As someone who finished sixth form and off to uni next, rest assured everything works out, I originally wanted to do law but didn’t get in at the uni I wanted therefore ended up slightly changing my course to Politics and Business management at qmul, it’s still a good transferable degree with business management offering a good back up and widening career options, and it’s still very helpful for corporate law which is an area I want to advance in, and therefore makes you stand out more in law firms associated with corporate law, as for politics it offers a good foundation and having done a level law I already have seen some similarities between the 2. Next thing would be a conversion course which is just a year or 2 more and a lot of good unis offer this like kcl they offer a whole master conversion into law, and therefore my point is there already r better things planned for u.
