College (not uni) at 21 - future courses?
hiya. I have a bit of a unique issue. im 21 and my education was ruined by the covid lockdowns in 2020-2021. this September i enrolled in an English and Maths course at my local college. I dont have any former qualifications at all - so these will be my first ones.
If I get the results needed, will I be able to on a normal full time course? im confused as my local college website doesn't make it very clear on whether they're for school Leavers only or if people my age can join them. if anyone could give me some advice, i would be very grateful.

Your best bet is probably just going to be asking faculty at your college about it, and seeing if they can answer some of your questions.
Assuming your current courses are GCSE(Or equiv) qualifications, it's definitely possible to go onto a full-time qualification, but you may need to do Level 2 qualification(s) before you're able to do a Level 3, as often they require you to have at least 5 GCSEs or equivalent - that's not a guarantee though and it's absolutely worth asking anyway, as entry requirements and policies around them vary a lot.

Look at a relevant Access to HE courses - a 1 year course designed for older students who want to go to Uni etc - available at many local colleges - Access to Higher Education
Also there are 'Foundation' style courses at some Unis for people restarting education -
CertHE Foundation Years | Study at Bristol | University of Bristol
Degrees with a foundation year | Education | The University of Sheffield
Mature Students : Study With Us , Aberystwyth University
