Postgraduate Loan

Hi all,
I'm a UK national and have lived in the UK from 2012-2022, but since Spetember 2022, after finishing my BA, I have been living in Greece. I am now keen to return to the UK for my master degree and I'm unsure if I can qualify for the Postgraduate loan since on the student finance website it specifies that to be eligible for the loan you need to "Be a UK national 2. Have the UK as your normal residence 3. Have been living in the UK for three years prior to my degree". If you have any other information regarding this matter or any previous experience with a situation similar to this, please let me know, thanks in advance.

Hi there. You need to have 3 consecutive years living in the UK to be eligible before the start of the course. We can consider temporary breaks in residency, for example if you were living abroad on a temporary visa/ work visa and can provide evidence to show you maintained your connection to the UK during that time (UK bank statements with regular transactions, household bills, appointment letters etc.).

Temporary breaks in residency are all assessed on a case by case basis. Thanks, Leah.
