Music A Level Appeal

Long story short I sat my Music A Level exam this summer, composition and performance externally assessed.

I got 2 grades lower than predicted, fought to get my commentaries back, looked over the commentaries together with my teacher (who is not only a teacher but a trained professional pianist, with a really good ear and really high standards; the type who tells you to start over the piece for one wrong note) and she told me she does not understand their comments because she does not hear the mistakes they claim I made.

So I remarked. And my grades and marks didn’t change for either component.

I am not gonna let this go, and I don’t want people telling me to because that’s not who I am; I worked on this coursework for 2 years and I wouldn’t have submitted it had I known it’d be marked so low.

So then the question truly is, if you were me, if your teacher told you what she told me but you got this result, would you go further as to appeal?

I tried to find other unbiased students or teachers willing to listen to my work but I was unable to find anyone. So I don’t know. (If someone would be willing to I’d really appreciate it)

Are there any other teachers at your school who could look at it for you?
I am no expert on music, but if you still think you have been marked harshly, then yes i would be inclined to take it further and appeal again.
