Hi there! 😊

First of all, please don’t be discouraged by your predicted grades. Many students worry when their predictions don’t quite meet the standard entry requirements of some universities (like Leicester asking for AAB), but there are definitely a few important things to keep in mind:

1.

Your predicted grades are just predictions at the end of the day. If you’re confident you can improve them, that’s fantastic! Keep working hard, and speak to your teachers to see if they might update your predictions if they see real progress.

2.

Universities do take into account strong personal statements and so relevant experience could help strengthen your application

3.

Look into contextual offers from leicester if your intent on doing that course. Contextual offers reduce entry requirements depending on factors like average school results, background, postcode etc. Most universities publish their contextual admissions criteria on their websites, so it's worth taking a look.

Personal Statement Tips:
-Show your motivation using personal specific examples. Why do you want to study Law? What areas interest you most? Mention books, legal cases, work experience, podcasts, or even current events that sparked your interest in Law.
-Highlight your strengths and how they apply.
Skills like critical thinking, communication, and analysis are key in Law. Show how you’ve developed these through schoolwork, volunteering, part-time jobs, or extracurriculars.
-Structure it clearly. Academic Interest then Experiences/Skills then Conclusion. This can help your statement stay focused and well-balanced.

If you're still considering your options, The University of Law might be worth a look! We offer a flexible approach to entry requirements, especially if you're passionate about Law but your predicted grades aren't quite what you'd hoped for.
Our courses are really career-focused, with lots of practical learning, employability support, and opportunities to get involved. The Manchester campus in particular is super welcoming and supportive. I’ve really enjoyed my time here so far!

Best of Luck with everything,
Alfred,

Hello,

Please do not let your grades put you off from applying to university. One of the things I love the most about Leicester is how they give as many people as possible a chance of having a university education. Therefore, do still apply and make sure your personal statement and the rest of your application is the best it can be.

If you have any further questions or anything at all please do let me know.

Phone Leicester and ask if there is any point in you applying.
