SOAS entry requirements

I really want to get into SOAS University to study Korean and Politics and am worried I won’t get in with my current grades. I’m in second year of a levels and in my end of year tests I got CCC. I am also doing an EPQ where I might get a B or a C. I am trying to get my grades up but worried I won’t be able to. Is there any chance I can get in?

You can enter 5 choices in your UCAS application. So it is no harm to enter SOAS Korean and Politics as one of the five, along with other less demanding unis. Then focus at your exam to strive for the highest possible grades, even you are not successful at the main cycle, there will still be chances during Clearing. Good luck.

Hi,

I am assuming you have a year left of your A Levels which is more than enough time to work hard and improve your grades. Focus on your easiest subjects to make sure you excel in these and then work your way through your hard subjects. Remain positive and with hard work, it is definitely possible to improve your grades within the year. If you don't receive the grades you hope, Clearing is always an option and universities tend to be quite flexible with their Clearing positions so try not to stress too much about this.

Best of luck,
EH.
