What do you enjoy most about Economics?
What area do you struggle with most?
Why did you choose to study Economics?

Hi there!
I am doing the AQA exam board
I enjoy how logical economics is and also the graphs.
The area I struggle with most is probably exam technique
I chose to study it because it fits well with my other subjects and I believe (I hope!) I'm good at it (or at least I'll become good at it)

Things are going quite well thank you, considering I moved to a new sixth form last minute! I have two Economics teachers and both seem like they are very knowledgeable in what they teach and are happy to teach it, very enthusiastic!

Oh wow, moving last minute must have been a lot to handle! Are you enjoying your new sixth form? I’m so glad your teachers are nice too 😊

I am, thank you! It was quite a change from moving from an all girls secondary school to a mixed sixth form/school, but on the whole it has been quite a nice experience, and I think this was what I needed. I also now get to do all the subjects that I want, which is great!

Hii,
I am doing AQA Econ,
The thing I enjoy is that economics is learning about the connections between the theory and how it applies in the real world.
The area i struggle most with is the nasty multiple choice questions.
I choose to study economics because i did it in GCSEs and I just really enjoy learning the theory.

Ooh, lucky! My school didn't have econ as a GCSE option. How was it? I do AQA economics at A-levels now too!

Econ at GCSE was very interesting, its the same knowledge taught at the start of yr12 but much more simpler. How are you finding econ rn at A-levels?

Not too bad, I did Business at GCSE so it makes a lot of sense, and the graphs are all right as well, thankfully 😄Hbu?

It's nice to see that GCSE business came in handy for you at A-level econ. Currently, in class my teacher makes us do a lot of essay practice (Set as homework) which is really helping me get the gist of how to format my answers. overall it good tbh!

Same here! We've done a couple of 9-markers, 16 and one 25. Glad to hear it's going well for you 😃

I'm a year 12 so I have just started economics and from what I've seen, there isn't a huge chunk of maths, a few formulas here and there but quite a few graphs/diagrams. Your subject choices sure sound good, but what do you want to do?
