Transfer course with failed module?

Hi Everyone,

I was unable to attend one of my exams because of EC and I submitted a form and was approved. However my course does not allow me to progress onto my 3rd year whilst trailing that module. I have basically begged the Uni for a regulatory exemption but they deny it. I am not sure what to do. I dont want to repeat the academic year so I would probably just repeat that 1 module so I can work to save up some money for after uni.

Another option is to transfer to another uni, however since I have 1 failed modules I am not sure if any uni will accept me. Would any of you guy know if that is an option? Its an Engineering course so they tend to be a bit more strict. Id really appreciate any help

No sensible Unis will allow a transfer for the final year of any degree - and failed modules are the biggest red flag you could have. Your only option would be to stick with your current Uni and repeat a year. Start talking to your personal tutor as soon as possible.

RWA would be my preferred option tbh if it is on the table.

Sorry to hear about your situation, a transfer for your final year would be a messy situation, especially since you're needing to complete that 1 module and adjustment to a new uni can be overwhelming. If you're going to have a year for that module itself, it would be worth maybe doing a placement alongside it to make the best use of your time?

Good Luck!

That entirely depends on the Uni accepting them to do just one module - unlikely since that's not a full-time study-load, and also placements are not taken in a final year of a degree, or practical alongside a taught module.

Where are you at Uni, and which degree subject are you studying?
