Best Uni for Maths without Further Maths

Hi. I got 3 A*s in Maths, Physics and Comp Science this year before I knew what I wanted to study at uni. I have decided to do Maths and am teaching myself A level Further Maths for 2026 entry. A bit of an ask, I know!
Most ‘good’ unis require FM. What are the best unis that don’t need it, should I fail to get an A or A*?
Also if I do take FM and not get a good grade, will it go against me? ie: will my offer likely include FM if I tell them I’m taking it? If that makes sense.
Thanks

Well done, base! Congratulations on the three A*s! Warwick, Durham, York, Exeter, Bath, Southampton, Bristol, Birmingham, Nottingham, Leeds, and Lancaster are among the universities where FM is optional.FM is typically needed at Oxbridge, Imperial, LSE, and UCL universities. Most universities won't include FM in your offer if you don't receive a high grade, unless they specifically ask for it. Taking it still enhances your preparation and demonstrates your dedication.
