Law at Warwick

Can I still get into Warwick for law with AAA prediction, but I can possibly get an A* in some of my subjects?
Also my GCSE grades are: 9887777666

You are talking about a competitive subject from a competitive uni. It is quite unlikely that Warwick would relax their requirements on grades. That said, it is ok to have 1 to 2 choices that require 1 to 2 grades above predicted, and 2 to 3 choices with required grades as predicted, and 1 safe choice with 1 to 2 grades below predicted. Good luck.

Hi there,

The standard entry requirement for the 3-year LLB Law course is A*AA at A-level, along with the GCSE requirements (which you’ve already met). As you’re only one grade off, if you put together a strong personal statement you may still be considered for a contextual offer which means if you achieve A*AA in your actual results, you’d meet the entry requirements.

Even if you do achieve AAA, there’s still a possibility of an offer. This can depend on a range of factors, such as the number of places available that year, whether you’ve had any extenuating circumstances, or whether the course goes into Clearing. To give you an idea, UCAS data shows that in 2024, students accepted onto the course had grades ranging from ABB to A*A*A*.

So while we can’t guarantee an offer at AAA, it’s certainly worth applying, especially if you can highlight your motivation and strengths through your application.

Best wishes,

Hi Joseph, I think you are describing an aspirational offer, rather than a contextual one.

Warwick's contextual offers are based on specific criteria which are detailed here:

Yes sorry I was referring to a conditional offer, rather than a contextual one.
