Warwick Vs Bath Vs Durham

I want to study electronic engineering, but am stuck on this.
Bath has the coolest course- electronic engineering and space science with placement
Warwick is probably the highest regarded for STEM out of the three, so more likely better opportunities and salary.
Durham is the highest-ranked overall and has a really cool collegiate system & uni of the year 2026
All three are well known for sports and all have good facilities, clubs, and socs

*You guys would probably know more about these Unis than me so what are your thoughts, which one?*

For STEM it is definitely between Bath and Warwick. Durham is mainly an arts humanities university. Not sure where you got the idea that job prospects for Warwick graduates would be higher, when in fact employers wouldn't distinguish between these universities.

Thanks for the answer, but how come they wouldn't distinguish?

They are all very good universities in the UK. Employers tend to favour the Russell Group universities plus a few others like Bath, St Andrews, and perhaps even Lancaster.

I would recommend Warwick. For STEM subjects it has a really strong reputation and electronic engineering here is very well regarded. The teaching is high quality and you also get a lot of chances to do research and projects with good support from staff. The careers service is very active and the university has strong links with big companies, so there are plenty of opportunities for internships and jobs later on. The campus is large and modern with great facilities, and there are loads of clubs and societies so student life is very active. Overall if you want strong academics plus really good future prospects, Warwick is a very safe choice.

From a career’s perspective rankings are irrelevant however all 3 are excellent universities and employers wouldn’t differentiate between them as an indicator on candidate competency.

In general id say Warwick probably has the best upside for automotive linked careers, and Bath probably the strongest overall in engineering, both Warwick & Bath probably slightly more research & employer connections within engineering industry versus Durham but very hard to split the difference.

Also worth considering the parts of country, societies, cost of living & any other factors that impact your life at university outside of academics as they are so comparable.

Warwick and Bath should be considered over Durham for STEM courses. Which one you go for is best decided by visiting both universities, or at the very least watching several YouTube videos of them.
