4 A-levels or 3 and an epq

I am currently studying maths, physics, computer science and further maths, and I want to study economics later in university. I tried to change my subject early on when I realised I was definitely going to study economics at university. I tried to change physics to economics a level but the class was too full. Now I am wondering whether I should drop physics in order to have some form of qualification in economics through an epq, and also because economics interests me more than physics. But I am wondering whether this would hurt my chances of getting into Cambridge or Oxford. Would dropping physics and doing econ epq hurt my chances or would it not affect since I am already doing maths and further maths

An A-level in economics is not required to study it at degree level.

As above, a qualification in Economics isnt needed and wont give you any advantage.
Why the change of heart to Economics?

Found out that physics wasn’t as interesting as I thought, plus it’s difficult, basically I don’t have a motivational reason to do it apart from helping my chances to go to a top uni to study econ

Just double check on unis websites, but i dont think you need to do economics at a-level to do it at uni. Just double check what subjects they do require.
However an EPQ in it might benefit you. It will give you an insight into the subject.
If you are confident that you can get good grades in the other 3 subjects, then drop physics and do the epq.
