Students loan entitlement

Hello,
I have a question. I have applied to study in a uni but I decided to withdraw during the cooling off period, so no tuition fees has been released, only the first maintenance loan of £4800 for the first term as I attended only 1 day.
So guys my question is when I return to study again am I still going to be eligible for a student finance and are they going to ask me for CPR? I am really worried as I want to return to study later on.

Hi Dinita,

Can you confirm if you have done any other previous study other than this 1 day?

Thanks,
Claire

Hi, no I have not done

Every student is entitled to funding for the length of their course plus one additional year, minus any previous study. This means your course you have started will be classed as your additional year used. You should still be eligible for finance for your new course. Do you know what you're looking to study and when?

Thanks,
Claire

If your new course is 2 years full time the calculation would then be 2+1-1=2. Based on what you have advised then you should be fine for finance for your new course. Since you already have an application on system for 25/26 a/y you would need to apply on paper application and post this to us. You can find the PN1 form for 25/216 here https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/68b9c26d11b4ded2da19fe84/sfe_pn1_form_2526_o.pdf

Applications can take 6-8 weeks to process once we have everything from you

Thanks,
Claire

Thank you very much, so you would not need any CPR, right?

Based on what you have advised no, as you would be using the additional year.

You can't apply online for 25/26 academic year if you already have an application for this year on the system. This is why you would need to do a paper app and post this back to us.
