Y12 Pharmacy

Hi,

I've just started year 12 and I am thinking of pursuing Pharmacy at Bath, Birmingham or Nottingham.

I achieved 9988877775 at GCSE and I am taking Biology Chemistry Spanish
at A level. Additionally, I am going to start working towards a Vocational in dispensing that will take a year in order to hopefully better my chances of getting into the course.

Is there anything else you guys could recommend to secure a place at these top universities, aside from good grades etc.?

Pharmacy is a front-line healthcare role dealing with people, so any sort of customer service experience you can get is very useful, and helps prepare you for the 'tell me how you dealt with a difficult person / difficult situation' type interview questions. Retail, hospitality, charity shops or any volunteering that takes you out of your comfort zone and gives you experience of talking to / being with different groups of people - care-homes, homeless shelters, refugee centres etc etc.
