Bristol Dentistry 2026
I'm reapplying for dentistry 2026 and am thinking of applying to Bristol.
I got a UCAT of 2350 b1, is this risky or is it likely to meet the cut off because it was insane last year

Last year cut-off was 3070 which equates to 2330.
Million dollar question is whether it may go up further this year ???

If I had your score then I would definitely be putting Bristol as one of my choices - you lucky thing!
I want to go there so much I was even considering it with 2220. But am having to stop myself as really think that is unlikely. Go for it, otherwise you will always be wondering and when cut offs come out if your withingn the band you will be kicking yourself. Best of luck. Its all a bit of a gamble this year with the UCAT change anyways.

Has anyone applied to Bristol?
I did and weirdly on the applicant portal, it actually asked me to input my UCAT details
But I thought unis get UCAT results directly from Pearson. Strange 🤷
Was it the same for any of you??

Unis do get the results from Pearson, but this is only if applicants have listed their Uni choices on their UCAT account. Some don't - or may have subsequently changed their minds about where they are applying - so this is just a double-check device from Bristol so that if your results are 'missing' they can still download them.

My understanding is UCAT passes results to universities some time after the application deadline have passed. The data matching process can introduce addation delays etc.
Universities need to calculate their cut offs etc based on the UCAT results of this year applications before they can plan how they will process applications.

Did you get an interview for Bristol? I hear some initial invites went out already; but I guess it could be on a rolling wave as some places say can get invites feom Nov- even March timescale. Scarey. fingers crossed.

No I was put on hold which is what I expected. Last year I got 3120 and was put on hold until Feb/ March to get my interview invite!
