EPQ

I am dropping my fourth A-level to do an EPQ - is this worth it or do top universities prefer 4 A-Levels? I am hooping to do law so would French, Maths and English Lit go for this?

Personally, I would say an EPQ in your chosen field is always better than a fourth a level. You’re not required to do 4 and it won’t help you but an EPQ shows your interest and builds so many good skills!!

It is very rare to my knowledge for unis to prefer candidates who’ve taken 4 subjects which is why it’s quite uncommon now (other than if you take fm). Some unis will give a reduced or alternative offer with an EPQ so thats worth looking at 🙂
