Resitting A-Levels & Applying for Dentistry

I got AAB at A-Level and missed an A in Chemistry by 1 mark. (Even after remarking). I'm taking a gap year so will be applying for 2026 with those grades and another pending grade for Chemistry A-Level.

I got 2210 B1 and plan to apply to Plymouth, Leeds and Manchester as well as two DHT. I have a strong personal statement with over a month work experience/volunteering in different countries.

Does anyone have a similar experience with this? Some university websites are unclear whether they allow resits with predicted grades or that I have to already resat before applying.

unis usually will say if its predicted, for the ones you've listed, ur good, im not too sure about others,

Plymouth say u need ABB in first attempt to be able to apply with predicted grades, and a resit. Manchester say u need BBB, but if you receive an offer, it won't be AAA, it'll be A*AA,

Leeds allow one resit, and u can apply with predicted grades

Hi there! Although I study a different course, if you have any specific questions about Plymouth as a university/city feel free to reach out and I'd be happy to help 🙂

Best of luck with the application process!
