good enough for cambridge med?

hey, i've posted on the medicine megathread but i wanted to do a different post for this particular dilemma (so sorry if you've seen me elsewhere).

i'm applying for medicine at birmingham, lancaster, probably sheffield, and i'm going to the keele open day in october (which is cutting it a bit close but there's no other choice for it tbh)
i would really love to go to cambridge and i think the course structure would really suit me, but i'd discounted it before bc i thought i didn't stand a chance.
my stats: UCAT: 2310 band 2. A-levels: A*A*A, GCSEs: 999988876 (extenuating circumstances for the 7 and 6)
i've got a job in a hospital for my gap year, and i've done supercurricular research on stuff i'm interested about, plus virtual work experience. but i don't have loads of experience in caring settings which i think puts me at a disadvantage (however this is partly bc i was in hospital during sixth form which ig is experience lol)

looking at last years UCAT stats i think my UCAT score won't discount me, but i'm worried that i'll be up against people who've been trained since birth for the interviews, and bc i'm only now seriously considering it i won't be as well prepared. i'm from a state school but not in a dodgy area so idk what they'd make of that. i don't want it to be a waste of an application, but also there's nowhere else i would be really happy going to as i'm not a big city girl.
can anyone advise me on if i'm good enough??

Half of them aren’t even being truthful tbh, I see it all of the time on Reddit; don't worry about it

With Cambridge, it’s all about the interview anyway, and your stats will most certainly get you an interview and put you in a good position to get an offer. These people with UCATs of 2400+ honestly get similar post-interview offer rates as people with 2300+— look at Oxford's stats.

just focus on what you can control, not what you can’t
