A level Further Maths vs Chemistry vs Politics

I am in y12 and will apply to uni for either engineering or law. My current subjects are Math, Physics, Chem and Further Maths(my school makes 4 subjects compulsory). As evident, my profile is stem heavy. Will it affect my chances of getting into a top uni for law. Should I take an essay based subject; not only for law but for usa unis that want an "all rounded" application and demonstration of "writing skills". If I take an essay subject, should I substitute it for f maths(I'm not naturally inclined toward math though i believe if i put in the work, which is alot, i can get an A*) or chemistry as other two are non negotiable. Also, I favor politics if I were to go down that path but I've been advised by the counselor to go with eng lit or history as they are more traditional. I've been thinking for weeks about this. Kindly help.

The best essay subjects for law are history or English literature. Keep chemistry for engineering and drop further maths. This keeps engineering and law open.

Stick with Maths, Further Maths, Physics and make the fourth Chemistry or Politics.

You should know that 100s of STEM A-Level candidates are accepted to study Law at all the top 20 universities here in the UK. Infact, the LSE love Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Where do you want to apply for Law? Oxford? Cambridge? LSE? UCL? KCL? Durham? Bristol? Warwick? York? Nottingham? Manchester?

Taking 3 STEM subjects is fine, you do not need an essay based subject unless you intend to apply to LSE or Oxbridge - all that other Unis are interested in is your grades.

LLB Law | Study at Bristol | University of Bristol - A*AA - no required or preferred subjects
Law (LLB) - Undergraduate, University of York - AAA - no required or preferred subjects
Law LLB | Undergraduate study | Loughborough University - AAB - no required or preferred subjects

I'm going to apply to US unis as well and they place emphasis on well rounded app. What about that?
