i’ve been late recently like a lot and i am now trying not to be because our school says that universities not only look at our personal statements but also check our attendances and how many times we are late, same for applying to jobs in the future??? i want to go to manchester or ucl, will this affect???

Good afternoon,

Usally universities will ask for a reference from your school, in this, the teachers may reflect on your punctuality. However, usally admissions teams do not look directly at your attendance, but may see an overall report within your reference.

Unis don't receive any attendance info. Only the content of your reference which is unlikely to comment on it.

It's just something schools say to encourage you to attend and be punctual. Which you should be doing anyway.
