Iv passed the test and the question section, just waiting on submitting my certificates etc to get booked onto an assessment centre, so nervous for that part!

I haven’t heard back about my questions yet 🥲

I’ve just heard from them today, that I passed the application questions. I’ve just uploaded my documents and the work experience. Now for the painful wait to see if I’ve made it on to the Assessment Centre stage! 🤞🏽

Hi all, did anyone have their assessment centre today? How did you find it?

Hi, I had mine today. I found it quite hard. Especially the role play. Did feel really overwhelming but hopefully I have done okay. How did you find it?

My WiFi crashed while doing it 😂😂😂
But they were nice about it
I felt like I did okay, but the interview bit my mind went blank for a few seconds.
It was such a nerve-wracking day, and I really hope I get it coz I really want it

That is exactly how I feel about it too haha. I do just really want it. I feel like even after the role play reflection I just didn’t change because I was so nervous!

So did I! I feel pretty confident with the interview. The written assessment I ran out of time but think I did enough to get through. As for the role play, I honestly don’t know :/

Now I impatiently wait lol

Same w/ me on the role play. It all went really fast, hard to implement all my reflections in such a faced paced conversation

They said yesterday that theywere the first assessment centres of this application cycle so I wouldn't worry about how long it took 🙂

I found the interview the easiest and most predictable. It’s the only opportunity for the assessors to get to know you as a person and for you to demonstrate your motivation and experience. The best way to prepare for the interview is by having a good grasp of all the competencies and having a prepared STAR answer that you can adapt in real time. You’d also need to be comfortable being vulnerable and sharing a bit about yourself.

I found the role play the hardest and thought I did the worst in this activity. My advice is to make sure you show empathy towards the parent regardless of what they’re throwing at you. Focus on what you are trying to get out of the conversation but also make sure you listen and are understanding of the parent’s experience. Be honest during the reflection and try and implement those changes in your second time round.

For the written assessment. Just make sure you read the case study in advance. Answer the question asked and explain how/why you have come to that conclusion. The 40 minutes goes very quickly so make sure you plan your time well.
