Official University of Salford Applicants Thread 2026 Entry!
Hi Everyone!✨
Great that you're applying to us for September 2026 (or are maybe still thinking about it!) - this is the thread for you!💖
You're more than welcome to use this as a space to connect with other applicants for Sept 2026, as we want you to have a space to chat with us and each other! If you have any specific questions let us know, but here are a few suggestions for getting started on the thread...
1. What course/courses are you applying for here at Salford?
2. What subjects are you doing at the moment in your sixth form/college?
3. Are you coming along to any Open Days?
4. Why Salford? What about us has caught your eye?
5. How're you feeling about university, applications, moving away/commuting, accommodation etc - everything!
We'll keep an eye on this thread, so if you have anything you'd specifically like us to answer pop it in here, but please do use this as a way to meet fellow applicants! We do also have our student ambassadors on the site supporting, so they might bob into the thread every so often.
If you're interested in learning more about our courses please take a look on our website, and definitely take a look at booking a place at one of our Open Days if you fancy a visit to look around!
Just a few pointers to keep this thread as lovely as possible:
1. Please don't post personal/social media contact details in here - this is a public forum after all, and we want you to stay safe! The same rules apply for posting group chat links, as these will also be flagged and removed.
2. Please don't ask for/post interview questions (even from previous application years) - we want everyone to experience a fair interview, and processes can change between academic years!
3. Be kind and supportive to one another!

Hey everyone!
How are you all feeling? Is anyone applying for any courses with an early deadline (October 15th)? It’s a week to go, so just wanted to check in and see how you're feeling 😄
If you need some help with your personal statement, we have a whole forum dedicated to your questions (just don't post any part of your statement!), and some example statements in our PS library.
What are your main questions?
If you're not applying early, have you started looking around at booking any open days yet? If so, how are they going? Have you visited Salford yet?
